Unbox — and transform — the Premium Max Box in 3D.

Get familiar with your future box before you even hold it. Pay close attention to the unboxinghow each piece comes out, and in what order: this system is what locks everything down to the millimeter, so nothing moves even in transit. Then press "📦 Mobile box": the lid's transformation happens right here, at your own pace.

Piece by piece

Every part, and its role.

The Premium Max Box includes every part of the Premium Box — plus the case lid's transformation. Here they are, in order.

① The Roller

With its integrated parts: Support Clamp, Pusher, magnets, Grand Tasseur, Humidifier.

The Roller
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The heart

The Roller

essential multi-function

This is the heart of the patented invention: the shell, its flexible rods and its screws form an inseparable assembly, completed by the tongue (shown below). Same mechanics as the Original, same capabilities, same method — plus three integrated additions for comfort: Support Clamp, pusher, and magnets, shown just below. And for purists, the "French method": a precise cut of the paper, with no excess (detailed in the How to Use guide).

A practical detail: in the middle of the base, a maintenance hole makes it easy to clear out any leftover debris. Once the tongue is inserted, it's closed off.

And to see these additions in action, two places to look: the Roller animation on the homepage — you can operate the Pusher and open the Support Clamp there — and the King Size Batte animation, on the How to Use page, with two scenes that show what happens inside.

support clamp
The support that holds

The Support Clamp

handy

The Support Clamp keeps the paper from riding up during preparation — built right into the Roller, it clamps in one motion, no separate tool needed. It seems minor at first glance; yet it's the testers' favorite — and mine too. A comfort touch for a very simple motion. It's actually the first part requested and invented when moving from the Original to the Premium.

It also hides an invention within the invention: when the lid closes, it releases on its own, with a simple press. A small click confirms it — the Roller is properly closed, the paper released. Before this system, you could forget to release it and the paper would stay stuck. Not anymore. Over a month of work and dozens of trials to get this natural feel.

The whole thing is actually a combination of four parts. To see them work together, a see-through scene in the King Size animation, on the How to Use page, shows what happens inside as it closes — the only way to see it with your own eyes.

Pusher
The clean release

The Pusher

handy

The Pusher solves a real puzzle: the Roller rolls so cleanly that the cone comes out wedged between the four bottom rods — impossible to grab by hand. With the Original, there's the trick, shown in the animation: turn a gear screw a quarter turn to release the cone through one rod. It works, but it's a workaround.

So I invented a complete, more elegant solution: a system that pushes the cone from below, on the tip side, and lifts it out. Like the Support Clamp, it's a combination of four parts — plus a spring that returns the Pusher to its resting position, so it never gets in the rods' way. Nearly two months of research and dozens of trials: the part traveled all over the Roller before finding its place.

To see it in action: in the Roller animation, on the homepage — press the button, watch the four bottom rods react — and above all in the see-through scene of the King Size animation, on the How to Use page: pressure from below bends the flexible rods upward, and the wedged cone simply pops out.

The Magnets
Support for the close

The Magnets

handy

From the outside, you can make out four spots — but there are actually six magnets: on two of the four housings, I stacked two, to give more strength to such small magnets. Discreet on the outside, sturdy on the inside. Together, they provide support when closing: the lid settles into place and holds — even when you pick up the Roller from the top. Following on from the Support Clamp that releases on its own, they contribute to the little click you hear when closing.

The right habit: when closing, listen for the click. And during rotation, glance over now and then to check everything stays closed. Two seconds of habit — for rolling with peace of mind.

The Grand Tasseur
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The built-in tamper

The Grand Tasseur

comfort

Built into the side of the Roller — always within reach, impossible to lose — the Grand Tasseur is used to tamp the material before rolling. Its curved shape, sized to match the Roller, spreads the material evenly and gives it a slight dome. This is the moment to take care: avoid the "step" between the tip and the material — too much material right after the tip, and the cone forms too wide, the tip floats.

And feedback from my testers: its shape makes it a perfect little spoon for pouring the last bits into the formed cone.

The Humidifier
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
Just the right moisture

The Humidifier

comfort

Under this cap — designed to be as airtight as possible — hides an oval sponge cut to its exact size. Dampened a little ahead of time, it's used to moisten the paper right before closing, just before turning the gear.

For those who know how to dose it, it's a real comfort — several of my testers use it every time. And when several people share the same Roller, roommates for example, it really comes into its own: each person dampens their own paper just before turning the gear. Remember to re-moisten the sponge from time to time, especially if the cap has been left open.

② The box and its accessories

Essential, handy, comfort — every accessory has its role.

The gear
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The engine of the motion

The gear

essential

The gear distributes force and pressure evenly along the whole length. It's what turns a simple motion into a clean, consistent cone, with no jerks.

And it hides a trick: a socket designed to receive the bit of a standard power drill. While waiting for the future motorized housing, rotation can already be motorized — valuable for people with disabilities or anyone who struggles with the turning motion… and remarkably efficient, and stylish, for everyone else.

The 2 Tongues
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The right angle

The 2 Tongues

essential multi-function

The tongue is the key part. And everything is in its lines. Inserted into the Roller — flush against it, upper side horizontal — it gives the perfect angle. It's where the first of the only two rules you need to know applies: place the adhesive edge of the paper, sticky side up, parallel to the lines. With that alignment respected, the paper always sits at the right angle, and the sticky part seals the cone perfectly. (It's all shown step by step in the King Size Batte animation, on the How to Use page.)

Second function, a practical one: once inserted, the tongue plugs the maintenance hole in the base — open to clear out debris, closed to roll.

And the third: the second tongue works as a little scoop to pour your prepared material into the Roller — prepared to the side, scooped up in one go, sized to the right length (and with the Premium Max Box, it pairs perfectly with the lid-container). Having two also means you always have a spare with the right angle on hand — and for roommates, one each.

The Sizing Gauge
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The right measurement

The Sizing Gauge

handy

The Sizing Gauge is multifunctional. First, a double template: for the tip width, with its two holes — 6 mm for the normal size, 7 mm for the wide — and for the paper length, with its maximum size to respect, otherwise the paper jams at the Roller's entrance. Placed on the paper, on a flat surface, it allows a clean cut, both in length and width.

Then, repeatability: its markings let you recreate exactly the same batte — paper length, tip width, amount of material — and match the settings given by the Build Your Batte page. Paired with the Clamp, it enables the "French method" cut: its marks every 5 mm guide the perfect batte, the Clamp holds, the Sizing Gauge guides, good scissors do the rest. It's all detailed on the How to Use page, in the section on the "French method" — and the learning roll is there to practice.

The Storage Batte
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The signature piece

The Storage Batte

comfort aesthetic

No complete case without its batte: it's the part that carries the brand's name, the signature object. It opens via its cap: your creation slides inside, protected, ready to go with you — with its own style for each collection. And nestled in the Storage Box, it stands upright, nice and stable — you can see it in the 3D unboxing.

The Storage Box
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The storage

The Storage Box

comfort aesthetic

The Storage Box is the case's free space: keep whatever you like in there. And it has another talent: its notch clips perfectly onto the Batte's handle, holding it upright, nice and straight — a stable display. A comfort piece that completes the object. On the Premium Max, it's bigger than on the other two boxes — room for everything you want to put in it.

The Small Tasseur
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The finishing touch

The Small Tasseur

comfort

Shaped like a little batte — the nod won't be lost on anyone — the Small Tasseur comes in at the end of preparation: a gentle tamp into the formed cone, for an even result right to the end. It's the natural companion to the Grand Tasseur: one applies before rolling, the Small one perfects afterward.

The Clamp
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The clean cut

The Clamp

comfort

On the Premium boxes, the Clamp has just one job: hold the paper against the Sizing Gauge for a clean, "French method" cut. Holding it in place during preparation is already handled — that's the job of the integrated Support Clamp. The Clamp thus becomes the tool for precision-cut enthusiasts: there if you want it, resting quietly in its case if not.

And you can see it in action: an animation in the "French method" section of the How to Use page, and a demo video in the gallery — using a neutral demonstration paper: the Clamp holds everything steady in the left hand, one simple snip of the scissors with the right, and it's cut.

6 replacement gear screws
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The safety reserve

6 replacement gear screws

included free

With me, everything comes apart: the screws, the rods — every part can be removed, washed, replaced. That's intentional: the best materials, zero planned obsolescence, a Roller built to last for years — swap the rods or screws once in a while, and off you go again.

The screws are the small parts doing the work with every rotation. At my request, my testers pushed them hard — deliberately rough handling, tough conditions — to find the limit. So rather than wait: a set of 6 new screws, included free in every box. A bit more plastic and print time for me, zero unpleasant surprises for you.

The modular lid
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
The exclusive transformation

The modular lid

multi-function handy

The lid transforms into a large prep container, in two steps. First, you open its central flap to 180° — a clip locks it wide open. Second, you flip the lid over: the locked flap acts as a foot — and the lid, shaped like a basin, becomes a stable container, sitting perfectly level along its whole length. That's when the second tongue really earns its keep: it lets you transfer your prepared material straight from the lid into the Roller.

And the lid has a third trick up its sleeve. It's split into three sections: the center part, fixed to the case, and its two ends — one small, one large — which unclip to fit together and form a small mobile box. You can prep your material in it, then pour it straight into the Roller, with no extra step. Dozens of trials to find a clip that holds. One single piece, three uses — pick the one you need.

You may have already seen this transformation on the homepage — and you can replay it in the animation, a bit higher up on this page: the "Open" button reveals the lid as a large container, and "📦 Mobile box" shows you, right before your eyes, how it comes together.

The roomier case
SignatureOnyxMade in FrancePrestige
Comfort and elegance

The roomier case

multi-function handy aesthetic

The case's front folds down at 90° and displays the Batte, held by its two discreet rings — a deliberate hold, so it doesn't move: lift it out gently, one side at a time, that's the motion I recommend. And with the case closed, this front panel is a pleasure to look at: colorful artwork, with the multicolor logo and title in your collection's tones. A detail that's purely there to delight — and that's exactly the point.

And under the Roller, the base hides a storage space — enough to keep your tongues without folding or squashing them, just as they are.

To practice

The Learning Kit

included free

A roll of 4 meters of learning paper, designed for one thing: giving yourself permission to mess up. The first tries are surprising — the Roller is a little counter-intuitive: everyone's instinct is to place the paper in the middle and the material at the center… and that's exactly what you shouldn't do. A few tries and you get the hang of it: 90% of mistakes come from poor paper placement — the corner, the alignment — or from too much material, or material that's poorly tamped. The FAQ will explain, based on your result, where it went wrong and how to fix it.

And above all: if it doesn't work out at first, it's not your paper wasted — the first four meters are on me. After that, your best ones are all yours.

Why the Premium Max Box

A case that transforms.

The Premium Max Box isn't just a bigger case. It's an object that transforms — every face plays a role. The front folds down: a clear work space, and the Batte on display like a stand. The lid flips over — while staying attached to the case — and becomes a large prep container. And its ends fit together into a small mobile box. Three transformations in a single case.

Premium Max Box FAQ

Questions about this box.

The Premium Cone Roller inside is strictly identical: same mechanism, same method, same capabilities. What changes is the case. On the Premium Max Box, the front folds down (displaying the Batte like a stand), the lid flips over into a large prep container, its ends form a small mobile box — and the storage box is bigger. A case that transforms, not just packaging.

Very simply. Every part comes apart or unclips, and everything can go under hot water — PETG withstands 80°C (176°F) with no trouble. On the Roller side, dry material sometimes leaves a bit of dust in the mechanism: the base's maintenance hole is there to clear it out. And once in a while, a soak softens any leftover debris — a rinse with water, and it's good as new. The only rule: let it dry fully before using it again, the paper needs a perfectly dry machine. After that, it all depends on how careful each person is; some prepare without a single crumb astray, others less so. Maintenance stays light either way.

No, the collection is chosen at the time of order. The campaign lasts only one month and is capped at 1,000 boxes total, across all boxes and collections combined. The three limited editions (Made in France, Onyx, Prestige) only exist for the duration of this campaign: once the quota is hit or the month is over, they disappear from the shop.

Because early on, my sister told me "your box is too big." That remark is how the more compact Original Box and Premium Box came to be. But the original project — the large case with the modular lid — deserved to exist for people who love objects that transform, desk pieces, boxes that stay out on display. It became the Premium Max Box. Without my sister, there would only be that one.

Is the transformable case too much for you?
