Unbox your box in 3D.

Get familiar with your future box before you even hold it. Rotate, zoom, open — and above all, watch the unboxing: it shows you how each piece comes out, and in what order. This is the system that locks everything into place down to the millimeter — nothing shifts, even in transit. Worth remembering the day you actually have it in hand.

Piece by piece

Every element, and its role.

The Original Box brings together the complete invention, in its purest form. Here are its pieces, in order.

① The Roller

With its built-in pieces: the Large Packer and the Humidifier.

The Roller
The core

The Roller

essential multi-function

This is the heart of the patented invention: the shell, its flexible rods, and its screws form an inseparable whole, completed by the tongue (shown below). The Original Roller forms a regular botanical cone with every use, in every size from 2 in up to King Size. Same mechanism as the Premium, same capabilities. And for purists, the "French method": a precise cut of the paper, with no excess (detailed in the How-to-Use guide).

A practical detail: in the middle of the base, a maintenance hole makes it easy to clear out leftover residue. Once the tongue is inserted, it's closed again.

The Large Packer
The built-in packer

The Large Packer

comfort

Built into the side of the Roller — always within reach, impossible to misplace — the Large Packer is used to pack the material before rolling. Its curved shape, sized to match the Roller, spreads the material evenly and gives it a slight dome. This is the moment to take care: avoid a "step" between the tip and the material — too much material right after the tip and the cone forms too wide, with the tip floating loose.

And feedback from my testers: its shape makes it a perfect little spoon for pouring the last bit of residue into the formed cone.

The Humidifier
Just the right moisture

The Humidifier

comfort

Under this cap — designed to be as airtight as possible — sits an oval sponge cut to fit. Dampened a little in advance, it's used to moisten the paper right before closing, just before turning the gear.

For anyone who knows how to dose it, it's a real comfort feature — several of my testers use it every time. And when several people share the same Roller, roommates for example, it really comes into its own: everyone moistens their own paper right before turning the gear. Remember to re-dampen the sponge from time to time, especially if the cap has been left open to the air.

② The box and its accessories

Essential, practical, comfort — every accessory has its role.

The gear
The engine of the motion

The Gear

essential

The gear distributes force and pressure evenly along the full length. It's what turns a simple motion into a clean, consistent cone, with no jerks.

And it hides a trick: a socket designed to receive the bit of a standard power drill. While waiting for the future motorized housing, the rotation can already be motorized — valuable for people with disabilities or anyone who struggles with the turning motion… and remarkably efficient, and stylish, for everyone else.

The 2 Tongues
The right angle

The 2 Tongues

essential multi-function

The tongue is the key piece. And everything is in its lines. Inserted into the Roller — flush against it, top edge horizontal — it gives the perfect angle. It's on this piece that the first of the only two rules you need to know applies: place the adhesive edge of the paper, sticky side up, parallel to the lines. Keep that parallel and the paper always sits at the right angle, and the adhesive strip seals the cone perfectly. (All shown step by step in the King Size Batte animation, on the How-to-Use page.)

Second function, practical: once inserted, the tongue plugs the maintenance hole in the base — open to clear out residue, closed to roll.

And the third: the second tongue works as a small scoop to pour your preparation into the Roller — prepared alongside, scooped up in one go, sized to the right length (and with the Premium Max Box, it pairs beautifully with the lid-container). Having two also means always keeping the right angle on hand — and for roommates, one each.

The Sizing Gauge
The right measure

The Sizing Gauge

practical

The Sizing Gauge is multi-function. First, a dual template: for tip width, with its two holes — 6 mm for standard, 7 mm for wide — and for paper length, with a maximum size to respect, otherwise the paper jams at the Roller's entrance. Laid on the paper, on a flat surface, it allows a clean cut, in both length and width.

Next, repeatability: its markings let you recreate exactly the same batte — paper length, tip width, amount of material — and match the settings given on the Build Your Batte page. Paired with the Clamp, it enables the "French method" cut: its lines every 5 mm guide the perfect batte, the Clamp holds it in place, the Sizing Gauge guides, and good scissors do the rest. It's all detailed on the How-to-Use page, in the section on the "French method" — and the learning roll is there to practice.

The Storage Roller
The signature piece

The Storage Roller

comfort aesthetic

No complete set without its Batte: it's the piece that carries the brand's name, the signature object. It opens via its cap: your creation slides inside, protected, ready to travel with you — with its own style for each collection. And nestled in the Storage Box, it stands upright, perfectly stable — you can see it in the 3D unboxing.

The Storage Box
The Storage Box open
The storage space

The Storage Box

comfort aesthetic

The Storage Box is the free space in the case: keep whatever you like for your preparation in there. And it has another trick up its sleeve: its notch clips perfectly onto the Batte's handle, holding it upright, standing straight — a stable display. A comfort piece that finishes off the set.

The Small Packer
The finishing touch

The Small Packer

comfort

Shaped like a little Batte — the nod won't be lost on anyone — the Small Packer comes in at the end of preparation: a gentle final pack inside the formed cone, for a consistent result right to the tip. It's the natural companion to the Large Packer: one is used before rolling, the small one perfects it afterward.

The Clamp
The support that holds

The Clamp

practical multi-function

On the Original Box, the Clamp is multi-function. First, holding: the Original Roller has no built-in Support Clamp (that's reserved for Premium Rollers), so this Clamp is what pins the paper against the tongue so it doesn't ride up — letting you prepare at ease. Nothing mandatory: it's there if you want it. Then cutting: clamped onto the Sizing Gauge, it holds the paper on one side for a clean "French method" cut, with scissors.

6 replacement gear screws
The safety reserve

6 replacement gear screws

included

With mine, everything comes apart: the screws, the rods — every piece can be removed, cleaned, replaced. That's by design: the best materials, zero obsolescence, a Roller built to last for years — swap out the rods or screws once in a while, and you're back in business.

The screws are the small pieces doing the work with every rotation. At my request, my testers put them through the wringer — deliberately rough handling, harsh conditions — to find the breaking point. So rather than wait: a set of 6 fresh screws, included in every box. A bit more plastic and print time for me, zero unpleasant surprises for you.

To get the hang of it

The Learning Kit

included

A roll of 4 meters of learning paper, designed for one thing: giving you room to mess up. The first tries always surprise people — the Roller is a little counter-intuitive: everyone's instinct is to place the paper in the middle and the material at the center… and that's exactly what you shouldn't do. A few tries and it clicks: 90% of mistakes come from poor paper placement — the corner, the alignment — or from too much material, or material packed unevenly. The FAQ will walk you through, based on the result, where it went wrong and how to fix it.

And above all: if it goes wrong at the start, that's not your paper wasted — the first four meters are on me. After that, your best ones are all yours.

Why the Original

The essential version of the invention.

The Original Roller isn't an "entry-level" version: it's the first Roller, in its original form. The entire patented mechanism is inside. Only three things set it apart from the Premium.

01

The Clamp instead of built-ins

The Original Roller has no built-in Support Clamp, no Pusher, no magnets — it's the included, multi-function Clamp that holds the paper in place. Same mechanism, same result: just one extra step.

02

A single collection

The Original collection, entirely black — right down to the raised markings. One single look: understated, raw, timeless.

03

The entry price

€29 for the complete invention — the full range of accessories, the kit, the spare screws. Nothing "entry-level" about it: the first Roller, at its most accessible price.

Want the built-in Pusher, the magnets, and the Support Clamp right in the machine? The €39 Premium Box is made for that. The Original Box is the pure invention, at its most accessible price.

Original FAQ

Questions about this box.

The patented mechanism is exactly the same — you get the same Batte, with the same method. And if you venture into the "French method," the same estimated benefit of about 30% less paper. Three things set the Premium apart: a built-in Pusher that ejects the cone cleanly (almost two months of research and development), a built-in Support Clamp that keeps the paper from riding up (on the Original, the included Clamp plays that role instead), and magnets for a solid close. The Premium also adds a choice of four collections.

To be upfront: it's part of its identity — the Original collection, entirely black, pays tribute to the first Roller, which was black. But it's also practical. Without multiple colors or color swaps, printing and assembly (already lengthy) take less time — which is what lets me hold the price at €29.

Yes — it's actually built for it: strong and durable for its small function. In PETG (a rigid plastic), designed to last, and multi-function on the Original Box — both holding and cutting.

Production launches regardless of the number of pre-orders: the campaign does not get cancelled. Here's my timeline, in full transparency: 1 month of campaign from the moment orders open, then 1 month to receive and set up the machines without rushing — it's the most critical step, it shapes everything that follows — then 2 months of production. The 1st box ships from the 1st week of production; the last one, within 2 months at most after that. So, from launch, the last box is delivered 4 months maximum afterward. I ship twice a week, in order of purchase. This is the worst-case scenario — it may well go faster: I'd rather play it safe, take the time to set up properly, be well supported, and fine-tune my files with the new machines. This is too important to rush. (Your legal 14-day right of withdrawal also applies.)
